Pav Bhaji

Pav Bhaji is a popular Indian snack delicious blend of spicy mixed vegetable gravy served with pav's

Ingredients
  • Carrot -1
  • Onion-1
  • Capsicum-1
  • Tomato-3
  •  Green peas
  • Aloo-1
  • Benas-5
  • Green Mirchi-3
  • Cauliflower (optional)
  • Beetroot (optional)
  • salt-1/2 Tablespoon
  • Red chili powder -1/2 Tablespoon
  • Daniya powder 1/2 Tablespoon
  • Garam Masala 1/2 Tablespoon
  • Jeera Powder 1/2 Tablespoon
  • Butter 3Tablespoon
  • Turmeric powder-pinch 
  • Green peas 1cup
  • pav 
Boiling the Veggies 
  • Take a pressure cooker and wash it peel the allo carrots, and peas and chop them into pieces.
  • add to the cooker add 200ml of water, close the lid turn on the stove.
  • Soak the Green peas 3 hours before if available can add frozen peans are availed in supermarkets  
  • In Medium flame take 3whistles.


Chopping Veggies 
  • Wash all veggies and fry them with the help of a kitchen cloth. 

  • Take a mixer jar and add tomato making them a smooth paste. 
  • Chop all vegetables into small pieces.


  • Turn on the stove take a pan add oil heat it 
  • Add onion and green chilies ones get a golden color now add capsicum beans and fry them for 2 minutes
  • Now add Tomato purse into the pan mix it well cook for more than 2 minutes


  • Open the pressure cooker and smash the aloo and carrot peans.
  • add the smashed veggies into the kadai and mix it well.
  • now add salt red chili powder Daniya powder jeera powder Garam masala.
  • Mix them well and add 3 cups of boiled water into the pan.
  • Cook them with a medium flame for 15 minutes.
  • Now turn off the stove and add 1 spoon of butter.
Pav Preparation

  • Pav can made at home or else available online & in supermarkets.
  • Turn on the stove and heat the pan (Tava)
  • add half spoon of butter to melt the butter.
  • place the pav on the butter and toast them for 2 minutes until slightly crispy.
  • Can you do the same process on pav other side and add more butter to the pan.  
  • Take a serving plate and add curry to the plate.
  • Garnish with Coriander and lemon onion serve the pav with half a spoon of ghee.
  • Serve the hot Pav bhaji.
