Oats and Rava Idlli

Wheat oats and Ravva Idlli is a combination of Wheat oats and Rava (Godhuma Rava) 

It's very tasty and healthy and can serve a month's baby also easy to digest. very quick recipe can be made any time there is no fermentation needed for this mix.


>Can mix many veggies into this Idlli like Carrots, Beans, potatoes, green peas, Spanish, Curry leaves, and coriander leaves. Now I'm adding only carrots.

>This batter can make dosa and Uthappam buttons idli.

>This recipe will be ready in 40 Minutes.

Ingredients 

  1. Wheat Oats 1-Cup
  2. Rava (Godhuma Rava) 1-Cup
  3. Salt-1/2 Tablespoon
  4. Carrot 1 (Small)
  5. Curd- Half Cup Grated 
  6. Ghee 
> I'm Adding only carrots you can add more vegetables.

Let's make the batter

  • Turn on the stove and heat the pan.
  • dry roast the wheat oats for 2 minutes on low to medium flame.

  • Same pan fry Rava (Godhuma Rava) till it releases aroma. it could take 3 to 4 Minutes to in a low medium flame keep mixing the Rava with the help of a spoon.


  • (Once Rava Gets turns into a golden color) 
  • Transfer the Ravva from the pan and keep it aside. until oats and Rava cool down.
  • Take a Mixer jar add both and make them a soft powder. and shift to the mixing bowl.
  • Now add Fresh homemade curd and mix it well.



  • Add salt and carrot (can add all veggies whatever you like also green veggies)
  • Mixing all using a whisk to ensure there are lumps. keep aside for 20 Minutes 



  • Take an Idlli cooker and also use a steamer I'm Using an Indian Idlli cooker to apply Ghee to plates.
  • Fill each mold with the batter and steam it in a low-medium flame.
  • Cook the Oats Rava Idill for 15 minutes
  • Can serve it plate or bowl Hot ghee on top before serving.

Serving it with
*Serve with Sambar, Coconut chutney, Rasam, Peanut chutney, or Karam Podi. Tomato chutney.

This Recipe can be served with Breakfast or a Lite Dinner and Lunch box for kids.
