Minapa Garelu/Vada

 Vada is One of the famous South Indian Usually this recipe is made with urad dal as this Dal gives you a puffy nature from the inside and a crispy Crust from the outside.

Vada is one of the famous South Indian snacks. This recipe is usually made with urad dal, which gives the vada a puffy texture on the inside and a crispy crust on the outside. In Indian tradition, the Minapa vada recipe is offered as prasad during various occasions and festivals such as Navratri, Varalakshmi pooja, and Hanuman Jayanti.


Ingredients 

  • Minappau (urad dal)1-cup
  • Green Mirchi-2
  • Curry leaves-10
  • Onion-1
  • Salt- Half tablespoon
  • Jeera-Half tablespoon
  • Ginger-Small piece
  • Oil- (deep fry)
How to make vada batter

  • Wash the urad dal and Vada made by soaking dal for at least 4 to 5 Hours.


  • Dal is Ground in a mixer or wet grinder to make a soft batter, but a wet grinder gives you better results.
  • Add salt half a tablespoon of salt and Ginger, jeera, and green mirchi, and it well.
  • if the batter becomes hard, you don't want to add water.



  • Chop the Onions into a small cube also and curry leaves.



  • Mix the batter well.

  • Heat oil to an optimum level take a small portion and make vada either with the help of a polythene cover or put them directly.



  • Deep fry, once they change color flip to the side and then fry till, they turn a golden-brown.
  • Using a spatula, transfer to their tissue paper plate so that excess oil can be absorbed.
  • Vada tastes good when they are hot and crispy accompanied by sambar and TOMATO PICKLE
